Matured in American oak of which 30% was new. Dense pitch black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Heady blackberry, liquorice and dark plum aromas fill the nostrils with some dark chocolate, mint, toasty vanillin cedar and spicy mocha notes also chiming in. Full in body the palate is decorated with rich dark plum, liquorice and choc mint flavours which overlay vanillin cedar and spice. Polished tannins finishing long, opulent and fleshy.
