A blend of 50% Shiraz and 50% Malbec. Midnight black heart with a youthful looking bright dark purple red hue. Fragrant red liquorice and red plum aromas infused with dried clove intermingle with earth, smoked meats and peppered herb notes. The elegant mid weighted palate features red plum and red liquorice fruits over a smoky back drop of dried meats, clove and peppered earth elements. Dry graphite like tannin structure and energetic acidity lend tension. Fresh red fruited, chalky mineral like finish.

Other Reviews….
A blend of 50/50% shiraz/malbec. A gorgeous bright crimson purple. I've not come across this blend before but from what was a great vintage in the Yarra Valley, this totally works. Dark plums, blackberries, smoked meats and black pepper aromas abound. The stylish palate is concentrated and very well balanced with ripe, fine-grained tannins rounding out a wine to be enjoyed now and over the next five to seven years – if not longer. Drink by 2030.

A 50/50 blend. No bunches. Old French oak.
Fresh blackberry, exotic spice, a little grilled meat, dried flowers. It’s medium-bodied, but very concentrated, deep and chewy with a distinct ‘mineral’ character to acidity, dark tobacco, and a long slate-y finish. So distinctive and really very impressive. Drink 2023-2029+
