2021 Freycinet Vineyard Riesling

Established in 1979 by Geoff and Susan Bull, Freycinet was the first commercial winery on the East Coast of Tasmania. Today daughter Lindy and partner Claudio Radenti who both have extensive winemaking experience from their travels around the world carry on the tradition.

Boasting superb intensity and sublime power this is one out of the box for Riesling fans.

A brilliant water like core is framed by greenish tinged edges. Driving the nose are intense aromatics of lemon and lime with flashes of orange blossom, Granny Smith apple, wet steel and flinty mineral notes also chiming in. A combination of power and precision, mouth watering flavours of lime, lemon and tangy mandarin are thrust across the palate with exceptional force. Finishes dry with crisp, zingy acidity and a very long scrumptious aftertaste infused with wet steel and flinty mineral elements. An exceptional Riesling.
