2021 Fratin Brothers Vineyard GST

A blend of 50% Grenache, 35% Shiraz and 15% Tempranillo. Dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. Spicy dark raspberry and liquorice scents jump out of the glass followed by some scorched earth and peppered dried meat notes. Juicy and peppery the palate features dark raspberry and liquorice fruits over scorched earth and dried meat characters. Bright acidity and slightly chalky tannins with a touch of rusticity to the pepper laced finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Other Reviews…..
50/35/15% grenache/shiraz/tempranillo. Matured in second and third-fill French oak. It's sweet-fruited at heart, not to mention creamily textured, but wild/aromatic herb and floral notes bring much-needed complexity to the table and give the wine a sense of completeness. There's some warmth on the finish but this is a good drink. Drink by 2030.
