Founded in 1903, Estate Argyros has a history of producing exceptional wines from high-quality vineyards across multiple generations of the Argyros family. It was Yiannis Argyros who elevated the estate to the prestigious ranks of the world's elite wine producers. The vineyards in Santorini are renowned for their distinctive basket-shaped vines, a unique training system not found anywhere else. This method is called Koulouri with vines trained as low bush vines, with canes intricately woven into small bracelet-like shapes, positioned just above the ground. This method offers the fruit protection from the intense winds of this maritime climate, while also creating a balance between fruit and vegetation, ultimately resulting in better fruit quality.

Other Reviews….
A tangy and energetic assyrtiko with sliced lemon and grapefruit, together with flinty and stony undertones. It’s medium-bodied, dry and intense. Crisp finish. Drink now.

From 100-120 year old vines. Stainless steel only, no oak. This is the way.
Fresh pineapple, lemon, lemongrass, aniseed, honey and aromatic dried herbs. It’s juicy, plenty of flavour and chalky grip, fennel seed and ripe lemon, so much impact and flavour, but with freshness too, and while the alcohol level shows a little too keenly, the finish is very fresh, zesty and full of energy. A wine of place, with so much character. Drink 2023 - 2027
