2021 Curator Greenock Vineyard Shiraz

Ten percent whole bunch was included in the ferment with maturation taking place in French oak hogsheads for 18 months. Dense inky black heart with a very deep dark purple black hue. Soaring out of the glass are heady scents of dark plum, liquorice, blackberry and dark chocolate trailed by some vanillin oak, blueberry and spicy mocha. Rich, full and opulently textured, flavours of blackberry, dark plum and liquorice carry good underlying freshness. Vanillin oak, mocha, dried herbs and spice lurk in the background. Amply powered it has a sturdy tannin structure and concludes long and deeply fruited.
