2021 Coombe Pinot Noir
Semi translucent bright red to dark red in colour with a light red hue. Pretty violet, red cherry and strawberry scents sail out of the glass followed by fresh herb and subtle forest floor notes. Light in body and possessing a fresh feel, scattered across the palate are red cherry and winter strawberry fruits which overlay a delicate fresh herb, light earth and spicy cedar back drop. Concludes elegant and vibrant with a mid length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 12.5%
Other Reviews….
Destemmed with a small percentage of whole bunches. Matured mainly in French puncheons, 1–3 years old. A light, bright crimson. This a little reductive to start, but soon blows off to reveal a wine with quite a bit of aromatic nuance. Red fruits together with a little cinnamon and dried herbs lead onto the palate, which is silky and persistent. Drink by 2027.
