Dense black as night heart with a vibrant dark red hue. Delightful dark cherry, violet and blueberry scents drift out of the glass trailed by hints of liquorice, earthy incense notes, fresh herbs and spice. Juicy ripe plum, blueberry and red liquorice fruits flood the mid weighted palate with infusions of fresh herbs, earth and spicy cedar also chiming in. Fine grained, slightly dusty tannin structure with energetic acidity lending a vibrant feel to the refined and lengthy finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 13.5%

Other Reviews….
Open fermented, 10 days on skins, matured for nine months in French puncheons (10% new). Three gold medals at second tier shows, silver at Perth Royal Wine Awards and Royal Adelaide Wine Show. It is a seriously good malbec by normal standards, but Bleasdale is Australia's foremost maker of the variety, investing it with rich, velvety plum and blackberry fruits, supported with amiable tannins. Exceptional value. Drink by 2031.
