2021 Bleasdale Mulberry Tree Cabernet Sauvignon

Dense inky black heart with a dark purple hue. Pronounced blackcurrant and plum scents mix with vanillin cedar, tobacco and bay leaf notes. The elegant mid weighted palate sees red to black currant and red plum flavours meld into a dusty vanillin cedar, subtle tobacco and bay leaf back drop. Slightly dryish finish with fine grained tannins and lively acidity. Concludes with a savoury mid length aftertaste.

Destemmed and crushed to open fermenters; matured for 12 months in French puncheons (10% new). Finesse and elegance are the last words expected for a young cabernet, but they describe this most attractive wine. Has won a string of silver and gold medals. Drink by 2038.
