2021 Barringwood Pinot Noir

Aged for 6 months in barriques of which 15% were new. Deep dark red black tinged colour with a bright purple red hue. Fragrant violet, dark cherry and more subtle anise aromas are complimented by forest floor, meaty notes and spiced herbs. Delicious spicy dark cherry, strawberry and anise flavours are cast across the light to medium bodied palate that carries a supple feel. Adding complexity on the back half are notions of forest floor, traces of dried meats infused with fresh herbs and spicy cedar. Polished tannins finishing with good freshness and a lengthy aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
