2021 Atze’s Corner Bachelor Shiraz

Sourced from vines planted between 1951 and 2000 with aging taking place in a mix of 20% new French oak and third and fourth fill French and American oak hogsheads for a period of 20 months. Impenetrable inky black heart with an equally deep black dark purple hue. Wafting through the nostrils are heady scents of blackberry, liquorice and dark plum which are trailed by vanillin cedar, hints of mocha and pepper. Rich blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits combine opulence with a good amount of freshness. Lying underneath are vanillin cedar, subtle inky earth and pepper characteristics. Fleshy in its feel it has polished tannins, youthful acidity and a juicy medium to long conclusion.
