Mid weighted with rich red to dark fruits, firm, chalky tannins and a long, generous yet rustic finish.

Midnight black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Expressive red to dark currant and red cherry aromatics are intermeshed with tobacco, dusty earth, dried herb and spicy cedar notes. Rich red and dark currant, red liquorice as well as red cherry fruits are layered across the mid weighted palate which has a muscular feel imparted by a firm, chalky tannin structure. Excellent concentration and length with dried herb, tobacco, dusty earth and spicy leather elements lying underneath. Concludes long and generous yet rustic.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

The 2021 Chianti Classico Riserva Villa Antinori is laced with black cherry, plum, new leather, licorice and spice. Ample and expansive in feel, the 2021 is wonderfully generous, not to mention incredibly delicious. Fruit sources are from some of the most coveted sites in the appellation. Drink 2024-2031.

This wine sees its fruit sourced from multiple villages: San Casciano, Gaiole, Castellina and Greve. The 2021 Chianti Classico Riserva Villa Antinori is not married to a specific subzone of the appellation because it seeks to embrace a house style rather than a vineyard identity. Aged in tonneaux with some barrique, the wine is rich and lasting but not large. In fact, it remains elegant on the palate with fine tannins and good fruit tension with cherry and blue flowers. Drink 2024-2030.
