Matured in seasoned oak. Dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a light red hue. Spicy dark raspberry and ripe cherry aromas jump out of the glass followed by some red liquorice, fresh herbs and subtle vanillin earth like notes. Vibrant in its feel and quite focused the savoury palate serves up a combination of spicy red raspberry, red cherry and red liquorice fruits. Faintly chalky but otherwise polished tannins. Finishes fresh with some lingering earth and pepper elements on the mid length aftertaste.
