Matured in French oak barriques for a period of 18 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. The nose offers up a mix of blackcurrant, dried herb, tobacco and vanillin cedar aromas with hints of black olive and spice also chiming in. Mid weighted, richly fruited and fleshy textured, gorgeous blackcurrant and mulberry flavours are complimented by dried herb, earthy tobacco, vanillin cedar, faint black olive and spice characters. Polished feel with fine grained tannins. Long finessed finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Other Reviews…..
This is a Cabernet in two parts. Just opened, the wine sits quietly in the glass, unassuming, not daring to reveal. Is that it, you ask yourself? The answer is no. I left the wine. Actually, I forgot about it and an hour or more later I returned. After being open for a while, a deeper, richer vein of Cabernet flavour revealed itself, one of concentrated black fruit intensity, herbals, leaf and gentle spice. Tannins were well-knitted and firm. The wine had become fully energised and alive. It was delicious . . . eventually. What a chameleon. Drink 2023-2028.
