2020 Wittmann 100 Hugel Riesling Trocken

Wittmann are firmly established as one of Germany’s superstar producers. Their entry level ‘100 Hills’ Riesling is amazingly juicy and fresh with animated acidity and fine minerality.
Brilliant very pale straw colour with hints of green around the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of lime juice, fresh pear and red apple are followed by a faint whiff of honeysuckle and slatey mineral notes. Energetic and intensely flavoured, the palate is awash with lime and red apple fruits which sit over a back drop of light mandarin, traces of honeysuckle and flinty characters. Dry zingy finish with  invigorating mineral infused acidity and a racy aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
