2020 Wheeler Willowlake Chardonnay

Matured on lees for a period of 9 months in neutral French oak barriques. Bright straw colour with a watery hue. Nosing reveals scents of pear, dried honey and lemon butter followed by hints of almond and spice. Light to medium weight the palate features pear, green apple and citrus flavours which carry a fresh yet nicely fleshed feel over a back drop of wet stone and subtle almond characters. Finishes dry with brisk acidity and an elegant aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
