2020 Umani Ronchi Casal di Serra Verdicchio Classico Superiore

Verdicchio is one of the most widely planted white grape varieties in the Marche region of central Italy. First produced in 1983 this is Umani Ronchi’s flagship Verdicchio. Grapes are selected from four vineyards ranging from 8 to 30 years old, with fermentation taking place in stainless steel tanks and the wine given approximately 5 months lees contact to build its textural attributes.
Certified Organic. Brilliant pale straw colour with shades of green to the edges and a watery hue. Lifted pear and lime aromas mix with green apple, spicy herbs and wet slate. Scrumptious pear and lime flavours overlay a back drop of spicy green apple and slatey mineral characters. Lovely length and texture finishing dry and crisp with a long mouth watering aftertaste.
