2020 Torbreck Woodcutter’s Shiraz

Sourced from hand harvested and hand tended plots throughout the north western Barossa Valley the Woodcutter’s Shiraz is fermented in a mixture of cement, wooden and stainless steel vats for 6-7 days. It is then basket pressed to well-seasoned hogsheads and French oak foudres for 12 months.
Super saturated inky black colour with a dense black dark red hue. Heady dark plum and liquorice scents jump out of the glass intermingling with smoky vanillin cedar, fennel and spicy pepper notes along the way. Rich, deep and plush, juicy dark plum and liquorice fruits show great purity with lightly smoked vanillin cedar, fennel and peppered earth characters lying underneath. Velvety tannins are complimented by fresh acidity. The finish bright, long and succulent.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
