Fermented with 75% whole bunch fruit and matured in French oak, 15% new, for a period of 9 months. Semi translucent dark red colour with black shaded edges and a red hue. Very perfumed the nose offers up violet, spicy dark cherry, strawberry and subtle rhubarb scents which are trailed by forest floor, dried herbs and cedar. Light in body, moderately powered and possessing an elegant feel the palate features spicy red cherry, winter strawberry and rhubarb flavours over forest floor and spicy cedar. Fine grained tannins finishing with good freshness and a focused medium length aftertaste.
