2020 Tim McNeil Wines Shiraz

Matured in 20% new French oak hogsheads for 24 months. Dense inky black in colour with a very deep black dark red hue. Heady aniseed and blackberry scents waft out of the glass followed by hints of choc mint, vanillin oak and spice. Rich, full bodied and voluptuous the lavish palate is awash with dense liquorice, blackberry and dark plum fruits which meld into a toasty vanillin oak, dark choc mint and spice back drop. Velvety yet underlyingly sturdy tannins impart a slight feeling of muscularity onto the otherwise long, plush finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
