2020 Tim McNeil Watervale Riesling

Tim McNeil's dry grown, tiny five acre plot of Riesling is located on Springvale Rd, Watervale, home also to Knappstein’s Ackland and Grosset’s Springvale vineyard.

A superb Watervale Riesling combining great concentration with a laser like focus.

Brilliant water like core with greenish tinged edges. Intense lime juice, green apple and lemon scents spring out of the glass followed by wet steel, chalky talc and mineral notes. Crunchy lime juice, Granny Smith apple and lemon flavours are racy and tense in their feel across the palate underpinned by steely mineral infused acidity. Dry crisp finish with some chalky talc like characters lingering on the long, powerful aftertaste.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
