Rich, dense and powerful with a tidal wave of voluptuous fruit flooding every corner of the mouth.

Made from vines planted in 1969 with maturation taking place in tight grained French oak hogsheads (60% new) for a period of 24 months. Impenetrable inky black heart with a very deep dark red black tinged hue. Engulfing the olfactory senses are heady aromas of liquorice, dark to black plum and black cherry complimented by some toasty vanillin oak, mocha and spicy earth notes. Rich, dense and powerful, a tidal wave of dark to black plum, liquorice and black cherry fruit floods every corner of the palate. Toasty vanillin oak, earthy mocha and spice sit in the background. Voluptuously textured it has velvet smooth tannins finishing long and plush.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
