2020 Te Mata Estate Cabernet Merlot

A blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc matured in a mixture of new and seasoned French oak barrels for 12 months.

Midnight black heart with a bright dark red purple hue. Lifted blackcurrant aromas are trailed by some mulberry, dusty cedar, black olive and spicy tobacco notes. Mid weighted, the bright, elegant palate features red currant and mulberry fruits over dusty earth, cedary tobacco and spicy black olive elements. Slightly dryish fine grained tannin structure with a savoury medium length aftertaste.
