2020 Suavia Massifitti Trebbiano di Soave
The Tessari family have been growing grapes in the heart of the Soave Classico area since 1887, however it was not until the early 1980's that they dedicated themselves to producing premium wines from the region's indigenous heroes Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave. Giovanni and Rosetta Tessari built a modern and efficient winery in 1990 underneath the building that has been the Tessari family home, and the facility was designed specifically for the production of white wine with the most advanced technology available. Now run by Giovanni and Rosetta's daughters, Meri, Valentina, and Alessandra, Suavia's focus is on using their state-of-the art facility to express the nuances of their native terroir with both Garganega and Trebbiano.
Made from 100% Trebbiano di Soave, Massifitti is fermented in stainless steel tanks following a 24-hour cold soak maceration. It is then refined for another six months in tank.
