2020 Soumah Single Vineyard Hexham Syrah

Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Spicy dark cherry, red liquorice and plum aromas combine with dried meat, vanillin cedar and peppered dried meat notes. Mid weighted with good richness and a fleshy feel the palate is layered with red liquorice and spicy plum fruits which overlay gently smoked vanillin cedar, dried herbs and peppered meat characters. Polished tannins concluding ripe and savoury.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Warramate Foothills – Gruyere.
Full-on pepper-laden style with red and black cherry fruit flavours flying into twig and garden herb and spice galore. Crunchy style ion red with ample mouthwatering acidity but oh the spice, the pepper, the savoury delights. There are flashes of licorice here too along with smoky reduction and/or smoked meat notes. If you’re onto the heavy spice style of shiraz, this is terrific. Drink 2021-2026+
