Sons of Eden have been at the forefront of a new wave of Barossa winemakers revitalising the regions wine styles. Whilst some have pushed the barrier a little too far, overshooting the mark in their pursuit of elegance and freshness at the sacrifice of Barossa’s trademark richness, these boys regularly hit the bullseye. Right through their range of reds they are a model of consistency combining Barossa’s famed rich fruit with supple textures, a delicious savouriness and a fresh feel, never losing sight of what Barossa does best – produce rich, opulent full bodied reds.

Modern day Barossa Shiraz at its very best – irresistible stuff!

The Marschall Family vineyards are located in the Tanunda and Ebenezer districts of the Barossa Valley with vines aged between 20 to 31 years old. Maturation takes place in a mix of new and seasoned oak hogsheads for a period of 12 months.
Magnificent inky black colour with a very deep dark purple black hue. Sailing out of the glass are alluring scents of blackberry, dark plum, liquorice and subtle black cherry. A whiff of blueberries, vanillin cedar, light fennel and spice ensue. Rich, lush and sleek the palate is flooded with a combination of blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits, a dash of ripe blueberry also chimes end to lend freshness. Opulent and concentrated, elements of vanillin cedar, light fennel and a pinch of pepper lie underneath. Fantastic power and balance with silky smooth tannins leading into a finish of exceptional persistence.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 14.5%
