2020 S.C. Pannell Basso Garnacha
Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Alluring dark raspberry and red liquorice scents have a graphite like overlay with some scorched earth and blackpepper notes also present. Delicious red raspberry and red liquorice fruits are carried by a vibrant freshness with some earthy graphite and blackpepper characters lying underneath. Ripe, slightly chewy tannins with a bright savoury red fruited finish that has a sense of juiciness to it.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 14%
Other Reviews….
Very easy to love, such is the intuitive ease with which all components meld. From the licorice and Cherry Ripe core, the smattering of thyme, lavender and white pepper about the seams and the carapace of wiry tannins, gritty and savoury in the best sense, this is mellifluous. The message of place, convincing; the drinkability quotient high. Poised in every way, from where it is grown, the fashion in which it is crafted and its versatility at the table. Drink by 2025.
