2020 Rochford Estate La Gauche Cabernet Sauvignon

A blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot matured in French oak (25% new) for a period of 10 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Eloquent aromas of blackcurrant and mulberry have a dusty earth and spicy cedar overlay with light tobacco and dried herb notes also evident. The elegant mid weighted palate features red currant and mulberry fruits over a back drop of subtle cedary tobacco characters, dusty earth and spicy bay leaf. Very fine grained well integrated tannin structure with a refined finish of medium length.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
