2020 Rocca Delle Macie Vernaiolo Chianti

Very dark red in colour with black tinged edges and a red to brick red hue. Spicy red currant and cherry aromas intermix with dried herb and tobacco notes. Light to medium weight, earthy flavours of red currant, dried herbs and tobacco overlay a spicy leather back drop. Dryish finish with slightly chalky tannins. Modest length and concentration with some lingering dusty earth elements on the finish.
Drink over the next year.
