Matured in French oak for 18 months. Dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a light red to red hue. Alluring scents of violet, spicy red to dark cherries, strawberries and subtle anise spring from the glass with some clove, forest floor and spicy cedar notes also evident. Amply powered the palate features delicious red to dark cherry, strawberry and rhubarb flavours over dried herbs, forest floor and spicy cedar. Supple yet fresh in its feel with polished tannins, it finishes long and savoury.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 13.2%

Other Reviews….
Oh yeah. This is good. A whorl of exotic spices infusing the dark cherries and blood-orange flavours. It entices more as it builds across the structured palate, but it’s not weighty, with the oak nestled well into wine’s body. It’s lifted with raw silk tannins and lithe acidity with a succulence all the way through.
