2020 Pierro L.T.C.f Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot
Beautifully refined and supple in it’s flow with red to dark fruits and a long savoury finish.
Deep dark red black heart with a dark red hue. Pronounced ripe red to dark currant and mulberry aromas intermix with hints of dusty cedar, tobacco, dried herbs, tomato leaf and spice. Rich yet beautifully refined and supple in it’s flow across the palate, red to dark currant and mulberry fruits are featured over earthy tobacco, dried herb, subtle black olive and spicy cedar elements. Very fine grained tannins carry a polished feel. Finishes long and savoury.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.5%
Other Reviews…..
Attractive as much as approachable for drinking now thanks to soft, fine tannins and a light spray of acidity across its less-than-medium-bodied palate. Delicately spiced, with fruit in the red spectrum, a dusting of pepper and licorice. Ready to be cracked open today. Drink by 2030.

Jane Faulkner – James Halliday’s Australian Wine Companion
The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot L.T.Cf. hails from a warm but generally excellent vintage in Margaret River. On the nose are sun-ripened cranberries, pink peppercorns, bay leaf and tapenade, cracked fennel seeds and strawberries. In the mouth, the wine is creamy—it has a clotted cream character alongside the fruit, which I find to be an unexpected sensation. There is pomegranate molasses, pressed violets and bramble, with rhubarb, arnica and a firmness to the tannins through the finish. 13.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap. Drink 2024-2035.
