Midnight black in colour with a deep dark red black hue. Lifted ripe blackcurrant aromas mix with dark plum, dried herbs, subtle tobacco and spicy vanillin cedar notes. Rich blackcurrant and liquorice fruits carry good weight and depth across the full bodied palate with cedary tobacco, dried herb and spicy black olive characters lingering in the background. A sturdy tannin structure firms up the finish and lends a grippy feel to the long ripe aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
