2020 Patrick Javillier Meursault Les Tillets
Other Reviews....
A cool, pure and restrained nose reflects airy and elegant notes of acacia, green apple, anise and a whiff of citrus rind. There is a beguiling sense of underlying tension to the detailed and mineral-inflected flavors that culminate in an attractively dry, clean and lingering finale. This is fine Meursault villages with the innate finesse of Tillets on display. Drink through 2026+.

The 2020 Meursault Les Tillets has a light white flower and linen scented nose, quite Zen-like at first but gaining intensity with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, fresh and vibrant with a touch of spice on the finish. Very fine, though maybe it just needs a little more mineralité. Drink 2023-2035.

Bottled end November. Mid yellow in colour, but fresh. There is an impressive weight of fruit for this hillside vineyard. Significant volume of fresh fruit, tinged with its usual lime blossom character, and good crisp finish with just the right acidity. Plenty of flesh nonetheless. Nice finale on fresh apple fruit.
