Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Pronounced aromas of blackcurrant and black olive are trailed by cigar box, earth and bay leaf notes. Rich weighty blackcurrant and anise flavours greet the medium to full bodied palate with notions of cigar box, black olive, scorched earth and spicy dried herbs lying underneath. A firm, sturdy tannin structure lends a slightly grippy feel to the some what rustic mid length finish.
