Impenetrable midnight black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced aromas of blackcurrant infused with black olive escape from the glass trailed by some cigar box, bay leaf and spice. Rich blackcurrant and plum fruits are interwoven with a cedary tobacco, subtle black olive and spicy bay leaf characters. Fine grained tannins provide a sturdy support base. Concludes long, ripe and spicy.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Other Reviews….
Mostly cabernet sauvignon but cabernet franc 3%, malbec 1%, petit verdot 1% and merlot 1% get in too. The latter smaller fractions are co-fermented.
It’s thick set and portly. A stout, generous red of hefty, prune and ripe blackberry-led scents and flavours with choc-mint, lavish, clove-cinnamon wood seasoning and licks of mocha powder dusted over. It does things well in its own way, balanced per se and come hither in its seductive suppleness. Perhaps the finish not quite to the task, but forgiven in the general thrust here. Bold, done good. Drink 2023-2030.
