2020 Mollydooker The Boxer Shiraz

Barrel fermented and matured in 100% American oak, 43% of which was new, 35% 1 year old and 22% 2 year old. Impenetrable inky black colour with a deep black dark red hue. Wafting from the glass are intoxicating scents of black plum, liquorice and blackberry which marry into toasty vanillin oak, fennel and pepper. Voluptuous, large scaled and lavishly rich the palate is saturated in spicy black plum, liquorice and blackberry fruits which are underpinned by prominent toasty vanillin oak, fennel  and blackpepper characters. Polished tannins concluding long and liqueur like with a decent dousing of toasty oak.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
