2020 Mitolo Jester Shiraz

Black as night heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Nosing draws out aromas of dark plum and liquorice followed by some dried herb, vanillin cedar, scorched earth and spice notes. Succulent blackberry, liquorice and blueberry fruits carry ample body weight and richness with notions of dried herbs, smoky vanillin cedar and peppered earth characters lying underneath. A sturdy tannin structure has a polished feel. Concludes medium to long and deeply fruited.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

A solid house wine with plenty of flavour, good value, nicely managed tannins and a whiff of tradition within a more contemporary-styled package. Dark cherry, plum, lilac, iodine, a smear of olive and a trail of peppery freshness. Thoroughly impressive at the price. Drink by 2030.
