Other Reviews....
Sorrel's entirely whole-cluster 2020 Crozes Hermitage comes from his 60-year-old vines in Larnage. Gorgeous aromas of violets, dried herbs and cassis emerge on the nose, while the wine is full-bodied and creamy-ripe in the mouth, showing tremendous length on the finish. There will be no racking or filtration prior to bottling. Worth a search. Drink 2023 - 2035.

Joe Czerwinski - Wine Advocate (Jan 2022)

Deep ruby. Fragrant, mineral-accented aromas of cherry, tobacco, baking spices and potpourri. Sweet and incisive on the palate, offering juicy black raspberry and blueberry flavors and suggestions of candied flowers and star anise. Shows very good energy and spicy lift on a long, penetrating finish that features a building floral note and discreet tannins.

Josh Raynolds - Vinous

A fruity but upright style, with lovely freshness on the nose then roundness on the palate, showing good tannic structure and juicy tannins. From 60-year-old vines planted on the white clay soils of Larnage in a late-ripening, high altitude site. Drink 2022 - 2025.

100% Syrah. Cask sample tasted at the domaine.
Pure-fruited and spicy, the freshness apparent. Filigree touch to the tannins and fruit but a slight herbal note and bit of chew on the finish. The élevage should help. Drink 2023-2028.
