Brilliant pale straw colour with a subtle tinge of green to the edges and a watery hue. On the nose peach, nectarine and subtle dried honey aromas are complimented by light cashew, biscuit and spice. Mid weighted palate with fresh nectarine and dried honey flavours overlaying a back drop of cashew, citrusy nougat characters and spice. Gently creamy yet fresh in its feel it finishes with a lick of brisk acidity to enliven the aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.

Other Reviews….
Lots of zest appeal here, taking off with all manner of citrus flavours and lemon blossom florals too. There's texture with some lees influence imparting grilled nuts and creamy curd. A shapely wine with soft acidity gently leading it to the finishing line. Drink by 2026.

Upper Yarra Chardonnay. Single vineyard. Made by Franco D’Anna. I’m always surprised – in the best of ways – when I see the price of this.
It’s racy in style but it has the texture, complexity and length to pull it off. It tastes of lemon curd and sprays of fragrant herbs, though nectarine and cedar push through too. I don’t overtly see flint here but it’s suggestive of it; it’s a vibe thing. There’s also a mineral water note, amongst it all, which works beautifully. We are now a couple of years from this wine’s vintage but it still feels as though it’s a couple of years from really being ready to drink at its best, though of course there’s enjoyment to be had now. Value once again is very high. Drink 2023-2027+
