2020 Little Frances Greenock Shiraz

Inky black in colour with a deep dark red black hue. Pronounced liquorice and dark plum scents fill the nostrils followed by some blackberry, smoky vanillin cedar and subtle spicy fennel notes. Plump and juicy yet also possessing an underlying freshness the medium to full bodied palate is layered with dark plum, liquorice and blackberry fruits. Notions of blueberry, smoky vanillin cedar and peppered fennel characters ensue. Bright finish with a polished yet sturdy tannin structure and lengthy aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Grapes sourced from Tash Mooney’s vineyard in Greenock. Blackberry, raspberry, liquorice, dried flowers, oyster shell and brine. Ripe, black and red fruit, fleshy ripe tannin, dried beef and umami flavours, a certain dark fruited juiciness, and a robust finish of good length. Has presence, but isn’t over-bearing. A nice treatment of Barossa Shiraz. Drink 2022-2027+
