2020 Lethbridge Pinot Noir

Sourced from four single vineyards in Geelong, two in the Moorabool Valley and two from the Bellarine with all the fruit handpicked and fermented separately to keep the individual vineyard characters distinct. Each parcel was treated the same; wild yeast fermented with around 40% whole bunches. The wine was then matured for 10 months in 40% new French oak barriques. 2020 was a cool year producing a more lifted, elegant style of Pinot Noir.
Dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a light red hue. Seducing the olfactory senses are intense aromatics of violet, dark cherry, dried herb and strawberry. Forest floor, subtle game and spicy cedar notes then chime in to add complexity. Highly savoury and light in body the palate is decorated with a mix of red to dark cherry and winter strawberry fruits. Lying underneath are forest floor, dried herb and spicy cedar elements. Finishes with ample freshness, polished tannins and a long, elegant aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
