2020 Kilikanoon Killerman's Run Shiraz

Established in 1997, Kilikanoon has established a reputation for producing world class, iconic Shiraz from vineyards located in the Barossa & Clare Valley. Winemaker Kevin Mitchell also produces more budget priced offerings, producing wines that offer ‘Killer Value’ under the Killerman’s Run label, with fruit now being sourced from entirely low yielding Clare Valley vineyards.

Pitch black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Showing plenty intensity out of the glass are aromas of liquorice, black cherry and dark plum with some spicy vanillin cedar, subtle fennel and blackpepper also coming through. Rich and weighty, the palate delivers excellent concentration and depth of flavour for its price. Mouth filling liquorice, blackberry and dark plum fruits carry ample flesh with spicy vanillin cedar, earthy fennel and pepper characters chiming in on the back half. Opulently textured with a sturdy yet quite polished tannin structure it powers through to a long lusciously fruited finish. One of the benchmark Shiraz’ when comes to consistency and value.
