2020 Juniper Three Fields Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw to straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Elevated peach and dried honey scents are married to crème brulee, biscuity oak and spicy nougat. Possessing ample richness and flesh the mid weighted palate features white peach, nectarine and dried honey flavours over notions of crème brulee, lightly toasted oak and biscuity nougat characters. Finishes dry with nicely balanced fresh acidity and a gently creamed aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

Single-vineyard wine from Forest Grove, wild ferment, mlf blocked, matured for 9 months in barrel (30% new). The fruit is very restrained right now, but it is already serving up lashings of pawpaw, yellow peach, red apples and the odd curry leaf here and there. The acidity is incredibly quenching and ripe, sprinkling flakes of crunchy sea salt on the fruit. A lot to lust after. Interestingly, the oak is already integrated at this early stage. Very classy. Drink by 2031.
