2020 Jean-Paul & Benoit Droin Cote de Lechet Chablis Premier Cru
A more restrained, more elegant and much more citrus-inflected nose grudgingly reveals its spice, floral and iodine suffused aromas. The racy, intense and markedly mineral-driven middle weight flavors possess excellent delineation while displaying plenty of oyster shell character on the dry and focused finale. Lovely. Drink 2025+.

The 2020 Chablis Côte de Léchet 1er Cru, which was not produced in 2019, has a clean, precise bouquet of apple blossom and light flinty aromas. The palate is taut and fresh, offering Conference pear and green apple flavors and fine weight, but maybe just easing off the accelerator on the finish. Let’s see once this is in bottle. Drink 2023 - 2030.
Neal Martin - Vinous
This tiny cuvée has only been made in 2011, 2018 and 2020 so far. Riper cooked lemon fruit on the nose. There is a depth of pure white fruit, a little ripe bacon fat, then reverting back to the fruit at the finish.
