2020 Henschke Keyneton Euphonium

Keyneton Euphonium is composed of Shiraz sourced from up to 50-year-old vines growing in the Eden and Barossa Valleys, blended with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot from selected vineyards in both regions. The 2020 vintage is made up of 65% Shiraz, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Cabernet Franc matured in a mixture of 62% French and 38% American oak consisting of 2% new French oak puncheons and 98% seasoned French and American oak hogsheads for a period of 18 months.
Midnight black heart with a dark red black tinged hue. Alluring aromas of dark plum, blackcurrant and liquorice are ample in their intensity with vanillin cedar, subtle earth and dried herb notes also evident. Rich and silky textured the medium to full bodied palate is layered with dark plum, liquorice and blackcurrant fruits which meld into a vanillin cedar, dried herb, subtle earth and spice back drop. Seamlessly integrated polished tannins concluding long and plush.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
