Aged in American oak for 18 months. Impenetrable pitch black core with a very deep black dark red hue. Aromas of dark plum, liquorice and blueberry meld into vanillin oak and subtle earthy mocha like notes. Rich, concentrated and decadent the mouth filling palate is saturated in blackberry, liquorice and black cherry fruits which are backed by a ripe chewy tannin structure. Vanillin oak, scorched earth and blackpepper lie underneath. Amply powered it concludes long and opulent yet sturdy.
