A more elegant and notably spicier nose combines notes of red and dark berries along with an interesting hint of orange peel character. There is more refinement, if not the same concentration and power, to the medium weight flavors that possess a seductive texture and particularly so on the balanced, lingering and already nicely complex finale. Drink through 2032+.

Allen Meadows - Burghound

Assembled in tank. One third whole bunch vinification was used. Dark purple centre with a slightly lighter rim. A solid rich heady nose, partly the vintage and partly the proximity to Vosne. Intense, linear, then a little bit headier behind, and some new wood showing. The tannins are fine and plenty of juice remains. Between optimum and maximum ripeness.
