2020 Domaine Bachelet-Monnot Bourgogne Rouge
Other Reviews....
Ripe aromas consist mostly of plum, dark cherry and earth where the latter is picked up by the vibrant and fresh middle weight flavors that possess a moderately rustic if lengthy finale that is sufficiently firm to suggest that this frank effort should reward at least a few years of cellaring. Drink 2024+.

Allen Meadows - Burghound
Racked the week prior to my visit, the 2020 Bourgogne Rouge is a one-third blend of Hautes-Côtes, Puligny and Maranges-based parcels. It offers vivid red cherry and cranberry scents on the nose. The palate is quite crunchy in texture, in a positive way, and well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. Touches of orange zest appear toward the finish. Very promising. Drink 2023-2029.

Neal Martin - Vinous
20% whole bunch vinification has been used. Deep purple black, surprisingly little nose. Juicy pure red fruit, classic rather than hot vintage fruit in the mouth and impressively concentrated, firmer structure than in 2019. Really long finish. I am rather impressed by this.
