2020 Dexter Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red colour with subtle tinges of black to the edges and a light red hue. Elevated aromatics of dark cherry, strawberry, dried meats, forest floor, toasty cedar and spice blossom out of the glass with a whiff of violets also evident. Light in body and silky in its feel, the palate is amply endowed with dark cherry and strawberry fruits which show good flesh. Velvety tannins with the back half picking up accents of forest floor, some meatiness, infusions of fresh herbs, lightly toasted cedar and spice. Finishes long and refined with a nicely balanced freshness.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
