2020 Deep Woods Estate Shiraz Et Al - DAMAGED LABEL

A blend of Shiraz and Malbec with maturation taking place in French oak barrels for a period of 12-15 months. Dense inky black heart with a very deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced ripe black cherry and liquorice scents are married to scorched earth, vanillin cedar and peppered dried meat notes. Rich, opulent black cherry and liquorice fruits drive the weighty palate with notions of scorched earth, dried meats, vanillin cedar and peppered herbs lying underneath. Ripe chewy tannins with a robust feel to the long generously fruited conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Fermentation and maceration proceeded for 12–14 days, thence to French barrels for 15 months' maturation. Vivid colour. $20 beggars belief. It's the real deal – a wine with layer upon layer of red and black fruits and serious tannins, and then given that time in French oak. Drink by 2033.
